PhD Student Angela Xia has received a Foreign Language and Area Studies Summer Fellowship to study Chinese and the Alice Fisher History of Nursing Fellowship. A description of the latter fellowship follows:
"The Alice Fisher Fellowship offers a fellowship of up to $3,000 to support research and ongoing collaboration with historians at The Barbara Bates Center for the Study of the History of Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania. Selection of Alice Fisher Society fellows is based on evidence of interest in, and aptitude for, historical research related to nursing and healthcare. Fisher fellows participate in Center activities, provide a brief written summary of their research and, if feasible, present their research at a Center seminar."
Congratulations, Angela!
