We are thrilled to announce that Julia (Jules) Lingenfelter (Sophomore) has won the 2025 Albert Clark Award of Theta Alpha Kappa, the National Honor Society for Religious Studies and Theology, for her essay "Muslim Women in Court: Exploring the Intersection of Religion, Gender, and State Law through the Case of Triple Talaq." This is a prestigious national award with a prize of $1000. Her paper will be published in a forthcoming issue of The Journal of Theta Alpha Kappa. Jules developed her research essay in the Religious Studies Department's Gender, Sexuality, and Religion class in Fall 2024, taught by Professor Megan Robb. Congratulations, Jules!
