PhD Student Hallie Nell Swanson Named BSA's first "D.F. McKenzie New Scholar"

PhD Student Hallie Nell Swanson has been selected as the Bibliographical Society of America's first D. F. McKenzie New Scholar to speak at the upcoming annual meeting of the Bibliographical Society of America. The members of the selection committee were most impressed with the quality of her proposal and the substance of her topic which is the same as her dissertation in progress: “Moving Stories: The Indo-Persian Romance.”

As the D.F. McKenzie New Scholar, Hallie has been invited to give a talk on her proposal topic. The annual meeting of the Bibliographical Society of America will be held on 26 January 2024 in New York City. Hallie will receive an honorarium of $1,000, a grant of $500 for travel, and a one-year complimentary membership in the Society, including a subscription to The Papers of the Bibliographical Society of America (PBSA). Additionally, papers by New Scholars are customarily published, subject to peer review, in PBSA.

Congratulations, Hallie!
