Claire Elliot graduated with her Masters in Asian studies from Cornell University in 2020, where she studied Thai, Pali, and Sinhala. Her MA thesis focused on female monastic networks, localization, and lineage exchange. Claire is now a doctoral student in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. She is interested in pursuing a dissertation project investigating dreams and fantasy in Modern Theravada Buddhism.
