The University of Pennsylvania encourages undergraduate students to do original research. Over 40 professors teach courses in Religious Studies and most of them are involved in active research projects. Some of them regularly need students with appropriate interests and skills. Consult our areas of study pages for ideas, or contact individual department and associated professors regarding opportunities as research assistants.
In addition, the University’s Center for Undergraduate Research & Fellowships (CURF) helps Penn undergraduates pursue independent research, including competitive research grants. Consult CURF’s Research web page and Research Directory to look for opportunities that interest you.
